And Why We Don't Use It.
If you’ve been looking around for our Instagram, TikTok, or Facebook page and came up empty… you’re not imagining things. We’re not there. And that’s entirely on purpose.
It’s about connection. Real connection—between you and your kids, your partner, your friends, and the world around you. We believe some of life’s most meaningful moments don’t need to be broadcast. They just need to be lived.
Social media has its place, but it also has a tendency to pull us out of the moment. We scroll, we compare, we curate. And before we know it, we’re not living the experience...we’re managing how it looks online.
Here at Wayfinders, we do things differently:
We encourage families to snap a couple quick photos to capture the moment, put the phone away and get back to being there, together.
Whether you're roasting marshmallows, setting up a tent, or sharing quiet conversation on a mountaintop, we want you in it, not editing it.
We don’t design retreats or help plan trips so they look good on Instagram. We do it so families can:
Build trust through shared challenges,
Laugh around campfires,
Discover new sides of each other away from daily routines,
And come home stronger, more connected, and more inspired than when they left.
No filter required.
We’re not anti-photo or anti-sharing. We love a good campfire pic as much as anyone. But we encourage our community to share thoughtfully after the moment has passed, not during. Let the memory be fully yours before it’s anyone else’s.
If you do share, we greatly appreciate the shout-out. Just know we’re not counting likes, we’re counting memories made.
We’re always available the old-fashioned way. You can send us an email at wayfindersgo@gmail.com to schedule a Zoom/phone call or a meeting in-person. If you have questions, want help planning your trip, or just want to chat about the best place to spot meteors in July, we’re here.
Let’s stay grounded. Let’s stay connected. Let’s find our way—together.
